Position Summary

The Account Manager will be working with CBLPath’s existing Legacy clients that have a long term established relationship with CBLPath. They will be able to communicate clinical, scientific, and logistics aspects of CBLPath’s service offerings. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of our established clients’ needs as well as upselling those clients to ensure that each account’s potential is fully recognized.  Additionally, the Account Manager will be expected to work closely with their local Sales Representatives to service their clients and help identify new business opportunities for the Sales Representatives.

Position Requirements

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client retention and satisfactory levels of service.
  • Identify, communicate, and suggest solutions to barriers to successful client retention.
  • Proactively manage logistic needs between the client and the laboratory.
  • Act as a liaison between the laboratory and our clients to provide the best patient and physician care.
  • Identify gaps in service offerings and work towards 100% test menu adoption.
  • Identify and convert opportunities for testing based on managed care contracts.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing accounts to solidify CBLPath’s position.  
  • Plan and execute a strategy to grow the volumes of each account.
  • Work closely with the Sales Representatives that overlap your territory to enhance service to our clients and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Must have the ability to travel 85%+ executing field based sales and maintenance activities

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science, marketing, healthcare or related discipline is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in client service, sales and/or marketing
  • Knowledge of laboratory, anatomic pathology or general medical environments
